About the role
This is an exciting and varied role that puts the individual in charge of their own team setting goals and aiming for excellence within the team and on a personal level. The Team will lead and manage all future capital infrastructure schemes for the council and this is a lead role within that team for Highways and Transportation Capital Projects.
This role will be the main conduit for the initiation and delivery of key Highways projects within the Council and offers the opportunity to make projects happen that will help to ensure that the borough has the infrastructure it needs to support growth. In particular supporting its Place Planet and Engaged and Effective priorities within Our Plan for Barnet.
About you
Prince 2 / Association of Project Management Qualification or equivalent project/programme management qualification
Preferably a degree or membership of a highways professional body such as CIHT
Deep knowledge and practical delivery of capital schemes from inception to construction and project closure. In particular example with highways or town centres.
Knowledge of technical legal and health and safety requirements
Experience of engaging with senior managers and leaders/politicians regarding schemes.
