Position Summary: Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is opening a behavioral health unit and islooking for a fulltime Qualified Mental Health Professional to join the team.
- Primary responsibilities include providing direct and individualized care to patients including:
- Interviews and assesses patients and/or patients family caregivers and/or legal representatives.
- Determines prioritizes provides and/or arranges for needed internal and external services/interventions.
- Participates in case reviews to evaluate case management and progress. Consults with healthcare team members to promote monitor and evaluate compliance with patients treatment plan.
- Assists with discharge planning and processes. Identifies appropriate resources including transportation housing healthcare and social/spiritual services and provides referrals as part of the discharge plan.
- Supervises and/or trains new staff students and interns.
- Performs Medicaid screenings as indicated for NHP.
- Assists patients with Safety Net applications when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Masters degree or above in related field. Eligible for clinical licensure in NV.
- Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- License and Certifications: NV license required (LCSW LMFT CPC Psychologist or licensed intern in any of those areas) . AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire and Handle with Care required within 30 days of employment.
- Experience: A minimum of one 1 to two 2 years working in similar setting preferred.
