Warehouse Lead
Seneca Foods in Cumberland WI is currently seeking a Warehouse Lead to join our team.
The Warehouse Lead will supervise all warehouse activities including production and shipping.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the organization of work crews.
- Direct and supervise the accurate and timely completion of all departmentalrecords relating to the plant & warehouse processes.
- Ensure that all employees are properly trained in company policies and safety.
- Responsible for housekeeping in the general work area.
- Observe all company work safety and GMP policies and procedures.
- Unload load transfer and britestack or finished goods and supplies from trucks etc.
- Interpret shipping order or receiving report to determine items to be (un)loaded.
- Ability to stack and unstack pallets of product in rows up to 5 pallets high.
- Check products for quality and proper shipping information.
- Complete daily inspection of vehicle before operating corrects any low fluid levels.
- Operate lift truck(s) in compliance with all operating procedures.
- Track input change and update data of inventory.
- Comply with proper weight distribution on rail cars and trucks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read write and comprehend instructions.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to make quick decisions organized and attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a team environment and lead and train personnel.
- 1 to 3 years in experience in an industrial setting.
- Requires a minimum of a High School Education or equivalent.
- Ability to pass the Seneca Forklift certification test.
