ROLE DETAIL
Position Title:
Electrician
JOB OBJECTIVE
An Electrical Technician also referred to as an Electrician Electrical Installers Electrical Maintenance Technician or Electrical Engineering Technician is a skilled professional responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment. They play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure in various settings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop electrical systems circuits and components for various applications such as buildings machinery or power distribution networks using engineering principles computeraided design (CAD) software and industry standards.
- Plan and oversee the installation testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems ensuring compliance with project specifications safety regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate the performance reliability and safety of electrical designs and recommend modifications or improvements as needed.
- Perform calculations simulations and analysis to determine electrical load requirements voltage drop and power distribution to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of electrical systems.
- Specify and select electrical components materials and equipment such as cables transformers switchgear and control systems based on project requirements budget constraints and technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and malfunctions using diagnostic tools testing equipment and technical knowledge to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to restore functionality.
- Collaborate with other engineers architects contractors and clients to coordinate electrical design activities resolve technical issues and ensure that project objectives are met on time and within budget.
