Loose Pick

Job Summary A loose pick conducts outbound orders using WMS Microsoft AX and RF Smart scanners. Liable for processing orders in a timely matter to maintain service levels to help ensure quality and to prevent any charge backs. Responsible for pulling and assembling orders. Regularly communicate with Shipping Supervisor and Shipping Lead to prevent any issues or setbacks that will delay or affect any orders from being shipped on time.

Responsibilities

• Pick pieces from the shelves according to item and qty indicated on handheld gun.
• Double check the items and pieces that were physically picked to ensure they match the order that was picked.
• Box the order and adhere shipping labels
• Inform the shipping supervisor or leads if there are any problems with misplaced items wrong packaging or any other issues that affect the picking process.
• Read the shipping instruction on packing list and check outbound cheat sheet for special instructions.
• Picker is responsible for each order they picked including request from other areas such as case pack and bulk location.
• Scan orders using the RF Scanner for closing and shipping.
• Labeling special account such as Nordstrom Kohls Saks etc.
• Chipboard boxes must be lined up neatly with item label facing out to ensure that the correct item is being picked.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following company safety policies & procedures.
• Remove empty boxes from the shelves.
• Making sure the picking area is clean before end of shift.
• Assisting in maintaining 6S throughout the warehouse.
• Understand and follow SOP when processing orders.

Requirements

• Basic mathematical ability (add and subtract)
• Ability to work in a teamoriented environment under supervision
• Ability to lift 20 lbs.
• Ability to withstand long hours of work while standing or walking
• Ability to be cross trained
