Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Bethesdas Child and Youth department is seeking one 1 Full Time Contract Clinical Supervisor.

This position requires an individual with demonstrated leadership abilities who must promote and support Bethesdas Mission and Vision. This position must also demonstrate Bethesdas Values. The Clinical Supervisor under the direction of the Director Children and Youth Services has overall responsibility including intake and discharge functions and transition and treatment plan development and implementation as well as overall program management. The Clinical Supervisor serves as the primary contact for Children and Youth Services. The Clinical Supervisor will employ a leadership methodology that is consistent with Supporting People in the Spirit of Christ.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide Clinical Supervision to the Children and Youth Services staff who provide behavioural services including assessment curriculum and program development report writing and the delivery of group and individual services and support.
  • Develop processes and systems to support the delivery of services and program expansion
  • Coordinate and facilitate clinical team supervision meetings
  • Provide direct and indirect clinical supervision for children and youth
  • Coordinate treatment schedules in collaboration with the Manager of Childrens Services
  • Develop training materials supervise and facilitate staff development activities
  • Provide direct coaching and support for staff
  • Develop and coordinate community partnership initiatives
  • Conduct child and youth assessments including observations in childs home school or community settings
  • Develop and supervise treatment groups and provide supports in clinics and community settings
  • Assist families in acquiring ABA knowledge and skills
  • Write and supervise the writing of reports
  • Present progress data to parents as needed
  • Make clinical decisions about children and youth programming and participate in BSP meetings
  • Collect integrity data
  • Consult and liaise with internal and external service providers and referral sources
  • Administrative tasks as required including documentation and resource development
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Contract wage is based on 2080 hours worked in a year. Advertised wage is top of grid. Actual wage will fluctuate based on qualifications.

  • Masters of Applied Disabilities Studies or related postsecondary degree
  • Registered Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologist of Ontario is required
  • Minimum of five years experience in a leadership position.
  • Excellent time management and negotiation skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with finance and budgeting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Developmental Services Sector specifically within the Hamilton/Niagara Region and knowledge of community resources.
  • Supportive of Bethesda policies and procedures.
  • Computer literacy and demonstrated capacity of computer applications.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and organizational skills and abilities
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to provide sound judgment where complex or unknown factors are involved.
  • Experience in program planning development and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes and deadlines and to effectively balance demands and priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership coaching and mentoring within a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Experience in a clinical leadership position or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in plan development supporting individuals with complex special needs and their caregivers.
  • Clean driving record and must possess a valid drivers license and have access to a vehicle.
  • Fluent in French is an asset
