Overview of the Office and Position
Reporting directly to the Dean of Students with a dotted line reporting relationship to the President of the institution this position has a dual role: to serve as the Universitys Title IX Coordinator and administer the Universitys Equal Opportunity Title IX and Affirmative Action programs; and to serve as a case manager for students of concern providing early support and followup for complex situations. This position is approximately 50 Title IX/Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action 40 case management and 10 other duties as assigned ensuring a balanced approach to supporting students while overseeing institutional compliance.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:

Develops and implements educational programs regarding protected characteristic/protected class discrimination and sexual harassment prevention ensuring faculty staff and students understand their rights and where applicable responsibilities under the law.
Oversees and coordinates intake and supportive measures.
Coordinates and manages the Lawton and Duncan campuses to ensure compliance with applicable policies procedures and training requirements in compliance with antidiscrimination laws.
Manages the Title IX and EO intake process and pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding between Cameron University and the University of Oklahoma Office of Institutional Equity manages and/or assists with the grievance process and resolutions of complaints for all campus programs.
Meets and communicates regularly with the OU Office of Institutional Equity to ensure the prompt fair and impartial resolution of EO and Sexual Harassment and Misconduct complaints.
Assigns comprehensive and interactive online training modules for students faculty and staff and tracks completion to ensure compliance with training requirements.
Oversees the data maintenance for EO Sexual Harassment and Misconduct complaints involving students faculty employees and third parties.
Serves as a Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
Case Manager
Provides oneonone support including interventions advocacy referrals and followup services for students who are experiencing significant difficulties related to mental health physical health family emergencies and/or other areas of concern.
Focuses on promoting holistic student wellness through providing early support and followup for complex situations involving students of concern.
Works with academic deans department chairs and faculty regarding individual students and behaviors which affect the classroom environment
Administer the university Care Request system and provide followup to students in need.
Assists students in making use of College and/or community services and benefits by monitoring and tracking individual cases and progress to ensure compliance with recommendations ongoing assessment and address new or emerging concerns as they arise or transition from campus services to external providers (e.g. psychiatric/psychological treatment services) and from external providers to appropriate College services
Chairs the Risk Assessment Team as well as following up with and tracking the progress of students under the Risk Assessment Banner
Consult with faculty staff and families who are concerned about a students ability to successfully manage an emergency or crisis situation.
Manage follow up for each situation based on individualized circumstances.
Draft independently and regularly send unprompted unsolicited communications related to student care follow up including: official correspondence website management alerts and email notifications.
Required Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of or ability to learn about applicable laws including but not limited to Title VII Title IX Clery Act VAWA FERPA etc. If not Title IX Certified must be certified within one 1 year.
Ability to collaborate with multiple offices and divisions both on and off campus.
Strong organization planning documentation and problemsolving skills
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to remain composed focused and neutral in managing conflict in sensitive and highly emotional situations
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision to manage multiple tasks and an ongoing and complex caseload
Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops for all Cameron University faculty staff and students
Ability to travel as required for investigations training or conferences
Ability to serve in an oncall capacity for emergencies including holidays and weekends as needed
Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelors degree required.
Experience in an educational setting
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree
Previous training and knowledge of educational laws
Salary Range: Budgeted at $36000/annually plus benefits. Opportunity for performance compensation subject to approval and budgetary availability.
