Our enthusiastic and dedicated nursing staff provides 24hour care seven days a week. From helping our residents prepare for their day to assisting them to participate in exciting activities you will play a huge role in their day. Through this daytoday contact with our residents you will have the ability to positively impact their quality of life by providing the best possible care.
This position is a starting step to a Nurse Aide position. You will be responsible and accountable for attending and completing offsite training to be certified as a statetested Nurse Aide. You must be able to attend formal classroom training sessions at our partnerlocation. Classroom training includes activities such as reading assignments listening to lectures watching films observing demonstrations and role playing. Additionally you will receive onthejob training assignments to develop your knowledge skills abilities and attitudes necessary to provide nonprofessional rehabilitative nursing care.Interested in learning more Additional details regarding this position can be found in theposition description.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment 40 hours per week
- Work hours are available on the following shifts:
- 1st shift 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM)
- 2nd shift 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM)
- 3rd shift 11:15 PM to 7:45 AM)
- All shifts include rotating days and weekends with a 30minute lunch
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be nonnegotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Willingness and ability to work in Spring City Chester County PA
- Willingness to work a fulltime permanent position for 1st shift 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM) 2nd shift 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) or 3rd shift 11:15 PM to 7:45 AM) with rotating days and weekends (after certification is obtained in a classroom orientation)
- Successful completion of a 120 hour training course to include 42 hours in classroom instruction 24 hours of lab practice and the remaining 54 hours will take place at the Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City PA prior to hire and providing a certificate of completion
- Work experience caring for geriatric or physically ill individuals
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will requirea medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
