TRIO Upward Bound College Mentor/Tutor (Part Time Temporary)
Rate: $12.50 per hour
Hours: Fridays 815 hours per week)
Work Schedule: July 5 August 12.
Location: Blue Bell and Pottstown campus
*This is a temporary grant paid position and is contingent upon grant funding.
**This position requires the PA Child Abuse PA State Police and FBI Fingerprinting clearances.
Part Time Casual Employees are hired on a seasonal basis during peak periods may serve a maximum of four consecutive months (i.e. summer/fall enrollment peak) and are limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week.
The TRIO Upward Bound Program is seeking applications from creative energetic and enthusiastic college students interested in asummer opportunity. Upward Bound is a college preparatory program designed to motivate and prepare selected high school students for the successful pursuit of a college education.
DESCRIPTION
The primary objectives of these positions are to be a mentor tutor & positive role model for high school students with regard to academics morale health safety discipline interpersonal relationships within the group and application to studies. Upward Bound participants are rising 9th 12th grade students who come from a variety of diverse backgrounds and cultures with differing academic abilities and learning styles.
