Job Description

Landmark Hospital of Joplin has an opportunity for a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dedicated and professional team! This is a fulltime position and would be able to work both the 11 bed Acute Rehab Unit and the 17 bed LTACH. Landmark Hospitals are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality of care to those we serve.

Summary:APhysical Therapist (PT) isresponsible for the assessment planning implementation treatment and evaluation of physical therapy for patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of specific conditions diseases and treatment therapies for specific patient populations
  • Assesses patients physical psychological social and educational needs to determine level and type ofcare.
  • Develops and maintains current patient treatment plan to include patient problems goals and interventions.
  • Delivers care based on acuity level identified needs and physicianorders.
  • Coordinates physical therapy care activities with other departments/disciplines.
  • Assesses collaborates and coordinates patients discharge planning needs and readiness fordischarge.
  • Assesses patient/family learning needs abilities and readiness to learn and integrates needs into plan ofcare.
  • Provides appropriate education/orientation to patients/families.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or post Graduate degree (PT)
    • Active Physical Therapist (PT) License in the state of Missouri Required
    • BLS Certification Required
  • Minimum 1 year hospital experience critical care/acute carepreferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior analytical problem solving and critical thinkingskills.
  • Team detail and goal oriented
  • Positive professional and empathetic demeanor
