SwingDeva hippo company is the Polish branch of a fastgrowing InsurTech product company Hippo Insurance. Were here to make home insurance smarter and more proactive using tech to bring fresh solutions. We also create digital products that support our customers always focusing on what really makes an impact.
Putting a lot of effort into hiring toptier devs designers PMs and QAs is a proof that we care a lot about tech experience the attitude human approach and what we could call culture fit.

What will you do
- Youll be working with our team of experienced QAs developers and product managers to make sure everything we deliver is absolutely top quality. Your help will be invaluable when their yellow duck cant hack it. :
- Youll improve our existing automation QA processes and best practices by working closely with different stakeholders.
- Youll take ownership of all automation needs within one of our key Business Units covering mostly frontend but a little backend as well.
- Youll automate new features to ensure proper coverage and support golive with high quality standards.
- Youll be responsible for maintaining and improving existing automation tests and expanding them as needed.
- Youll have huge creative freedom and the ability to influence the project so you can make your mark right away.
- Youll collaborate with your friends both from Poland and the United States.
We might be a match if you
- Have at least 3 years of experience in automation testing for both frontend and backend platforms.
- Know your way around JavaScript / TypeScript and feel comfortable working with them.
- Are an expert in automation best practices coding standards Git GitHub and the PR process.
- Have handson experience with at least one testing framework like Playwright.
- Are more than familiar with integration endtoend and API automation tests.
- Are an independent problem solver but also an excellent team player.
- Pay attention to details can handle automating complex features and arent afraid to speak up when something needs improvement.
- Have a good command of English (written & spoken) and Polish (at least B1 level).
- Are available in the afternoons due to collaboration with the United States evening meetings may occur. Rest assured we prioritize worklife fit respect everyones private lives and dont work at night but we still must ensure that communication between the time zones is effective.
- Are familiar with CircleCI or other developer oriented CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.
- Creativity and innovation in automation for any given area.
- Experience with Jira and agile testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with Docker (building images running and debugging containers).
- Experience with test case management tools preferably TestRail.
- Knowledge on how to write SQL queries along with data consistency and integrity in relational databases.
