Install repair and maintain machinery and equipment requiring a general knowledge of mechanics and techniques and perform general maintenance including janitorial duties. Assist with the diagnosis of machine malfunctions and operating difficulties; effect repairs and adjustments. Assist to rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments to involve dismantling inspection machining of or replacement of purchased parts.
Assist with the installation of new and the relocation of existing equipment to involve dismantling erection leveling fitting and aligning operations and perform general building repair and maintenance. Work from specifications and handbook formulas. Use scale squares calipers micrometers indicators joblocks levels verniers etc. Under supervision instruction and guidance provided and procedural problems and difficulties. Work subject to inspection and check.
Requires knowledge of basic mechanical principles as may be acquired by vocational training supplemented by onthejob training. Experience of up to one year needed to become proficient. Required to follow all safety rules and procedures in the performance of job duties.
