Learning Facilitator (Teacher)Medical Preparatory Academy of Rhode Island (MedPrep) is an innovative public charter middle school opening its doors in August 2025. We are building a dedicated team of resultsdriven passionate educators who share our mission: to prepare youth to succeed in top universities for careers in medicine medical research and post graduate professions. We are located at 145 Power Road Pawtucket RI are seeking a highcapacity dynamic educator to serve as a Learning Facilitator for 6th 8th grades in the following content areas: Medical Science Health & Wellness English Math Social Studies World Language Electives (Art Music) Multilingual Learning and Special EducationMedPrep H.E.A.L.S.High expectations Equity and belonging Actual real work experience strong Leadership and Student empowerment are our founding researchbased principles. We prioritize learning facilitator development through daily and weekly feedback and coaching ensuring that every educator has the tools to improve continuously. Each year begins with three weeks of summer professional development where we refine our craft and align as a team. We believe excellence comes from practice feedback and a commitment to continuous isnt just about stepping into a schoolits about creating one. The work will be challenging but the results will be transformative.ResponsibilitiesUse and adapt provided High Quality Instructional Materials curricula to deliver exceptional daily instruction. Maintain high expectations by implementing MedPreps routines procedures cycle of inquiry lesson delivery and values to create a safe respectful and nurturing environment for students and team members. Provide consistent actionable academic and behavioral feedback to drive measurable growth. Actively engage in professional development coaching and collaborative planning. Incorporate coaching feedback promptly into classroom practice. Communicate regularly and effectively with families. Use student data to inform instruction plan interventions and refine teaching strategies. Collaborate with colleagues administrators and families to address individual student needs and ensure every childs success.Qualifications Bachelors degree required; at least two years of learning facilitation (teaching) experience preferred. Rhode Island teaching certification; additional certifications in Special Education or credentials in multilingual learner instruction or in process preferred. A deep belief in the potential of every student and a commitment to helping all children achieve college readiness. Exceptional communication organizational and problemsolving abilities. A desire to grow as a leader in the classroom and beyond. Proficiency with technology including Google Workspace Suite and educational tools. A growth mindset with a willingness to embrace feedback and datadriven improvement. A whatever it takes attitude with a commitment to excellence in all tasks.
