Job Description

Cloncurry Shire Council is looking for an Activities and Events Coordinator.

  • $74000 to $82000 per annum (dependent on qualifications/experience) Superannuation
  • 5 weeks Annual Leave (with 17.5 Leave Loading)
  • 15 days Personal (Sick) Leave
  • Monthly RDO
  • Remote Area Housing Assistance $3000 pa Renting/$4500 pa Homeowner)
  • Locality Allowance $1500 pa)

This position helps to develop and deliver the annual events calendar. The role involves coordinating a range of key events such as the Beat the Heat Festival Seniors Events school holiday activities Christmas Fairs and national celebrations (e.g. Australia Day Easter etc..

The role requires strong planning and organisational skills and is involved in the promotional and marketing efforts across multiple platforms. The coordinator works closely with the Community and Cultural Services Manager and is part of a department that works to make the Shire an enjoyable and fun place to live.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential along with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet multiple deadlines efficiently.
