Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Study Director to join ResChem Analytical Limited based in Derby England. We are a responsive client focused analytical laboratory who specialise in pesticide residue analysis conducting regulatory studies to GLP on behalf of agrochemical companies for the registration of plant protection products.
ResChem Analytical Limited is a division of Smithers ERS Limited which provides a wide range of environmental safety testing services for the pharmaceutical agricultural industrial and specialty chemical and personal care industries. Our teams include experienced scientists and technicians offering a broad range of skills and areas of expertise.
Reporting to the Associate Director of ResChem we are looking for team members who are selfmotivated enthusiastic ambitious who have a keen eye for detail and an aptitude for problem solving. The individual will be working as part of an established team and the role will encompass all aspects of pesticide residue chemistry including sample preparation extraction purification and quantitation by LCMS/MS or GCMS. As Study Director the individual will be responsible for preparing study plans and reports and will liaise with our field team partners to support our clients needs.
All work will be conducted in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and specifically those regulations (GLP) specified in the study plans protocols or work agreements governing the work in which they are involved.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a range of analyses using advanced chromatographic techniques includingHPLCLCMS andGCMS
- Preparation of study plans and reports for allocated studies.
- Deliver highquality data efficiently and accurately supporting the needs of our clients
- Play an integral role in maintaining and organizing laboratory resources and equipment
- Work closely with a team of experienced scientists in a dynamic and collaborative environment
- Provide technical support and excellence across the department
- Drive quality and innovation as part of a problemsolving culture
Qualifications and Experience
- A BSc or equivalent degree in Chemistry or a related subject
- Strong laboratory skills and attention to detail
- A passion for problemsolving and innovation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Prior experience working in a GLP accredited laboratory
