Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and managing site development projects ensuring they meet client requirements and adhere to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
Project Design and Management:
- Design and develop site engineering plans including grading drainage utility layout and erosion control.
- Prepare and review engineering reports specifications and construction documents.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely and withinbudget completion.
- Coordinate with clients contractors and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
Technical Expertise:
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
- Utilize engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D StormCAD HydroCAD) for project design and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations and industry standards.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including architects landscape architects and environmental consultants.
- Communicate effectively with clients stakeholders and team members.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
Qualifications:
Education and Licensure:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in civil/site engineering preferably within a consulting firm.
- Proven experience in site development stormwater management and utility design.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles construction methods and industry best practices.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
