Job Description
Qualifications:
- Hold or be eligible for an Earth Science Endorsement.
- Bachelors degree in Earth Science Environmental Science or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Experience or strong interest in teaching AP Environmental Science.
- Background or willingness to integrate data science concepts into science instruction.
- Strong communication collaboration and instructional technology skills.
Essential Duties
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
- Teach Earth Science and AP Environmental Science incorporating realworld data analysis and problemsolving.
- Develop and implement engaging inquirybased lessons aligned with state and AP curriculum standards.
- Utilize technology data visualization and lab investigations to enhance student understanding.
- Foster critical thinking and analytical skills through projectbased learning.
- Collaborate with the Data Science Lab School faculty to integrate data literacy and computational thinking into science instruction.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to schoolwide initiatives.
- Duties as assigned
Pay Rate:
Teacher Salary Scale (credit is based on years of fulltime experience in a related position)
Contract:
Full time / 10 months / 200 days
Start Date:
This position is effectivefor theschool year. Applicants for theschool year will also be considered.
