JOB TITLE:
Police Officer
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide quality law enforcement services through protection of life and property; preservation of the peace; crime prevention; and enforcement of all laws ordinances and university regulations in a fair and impartial manner.
This position has been deemed essential as addressed in the University of Wyomings Employee Handbook. Employees in essential positions may be required to work during emergency closures and winter closure based on the nature of their job duties and the reasons for the closure.

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associates degree (or successful completion of 60 college credit hours) or current Wyoming peace officer certification required.
Experience: None
Required licensure certification registration or other requirements:
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Lateral transfers with current Advanced or Professional Wyoming peace officer certification in good standing
