SUMMARY: The Extended Day Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of before and after school programs in six schools in grades K5 including overall program design philosophy and daily operation. Additionally the Extended Day Program Coordinator is responsible to coordinate vacation and summer DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate all aspects of before and after school programs in six schools for approximately 500children in grades K5 including overall program design philosophy and daily vacation and summer programs for up to 200 children during school vacations and 270 children during the the recruitment training supervision and retention of program staff in excess of 50 for the financial management of the program with an annual income in excess of $ policies and procedures in compliance with NAA and EEC guidelines with respect to schoolage care programs and continually evaluate the daily email correspondence and communications with collaboratively with families and the community to enhance opportunities that will benefit thechildren and the members of the with regular school day staff school administrators and nurses to ensure continuity ofpurpose and the energy and enthusiasm of the Wilmington Extended Day Program as its lead ambassadorand fiscal management of the Program through the collection of tuition preparation of the annualbudget management and reconciliation of all oversight of the successful implementation of diverse and creative ageappropriate curriculaand activities through the recruitment hiring and supervision of staff scheduling in an efficient daily supervision including staff interaction with students giving handson assistancewhenever substitutes when and uphold consistent fair conduct standards for the children which include appropriatedisciplinary any special medical dietary or personal issues of students to staff and ensure that these needs are accommodated in a confidential attendance and weather emergency communication plans in coordination with the effective emergency communications procedures and ensure that staff members are the Program web page with up to date closely with building principals school nurses secretaries Public Buildings department andother relevant the special needs of children in a sensitive and organize and manage student medical information and communicate to staff when sanitary health emergency and safety a safe nurturing necessary professional development and trainings for C.A.R.E.S other related duties as requested or assigned by Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent of Administration and RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervises and evaluates all Extended Day Program employees. Responsibilities include interviewinghiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problemsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Advanced degree preferred. Minimum 23 years in an administrative position including program management and staff supervision. Proficient in Technology: Microsoft Word Excel Google docs financial software and daily email correspondence. Experience managing online program management systems; Create and develop programs withinthe system (Community Pass preferred). Training in deescalation and behavior management (or to be obtained).
