Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The MidRevenue Cycle Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within an assigned MidRevenue Cycle function ensuring adherence to organizational policies regulatory standards and performance goals. This role provides leadership manages team performance and supports operational excellence by driving process improvements and quality assurance initiatives. The Supervisor collaborates with internal stakeholders to maintain efficiency enhance compliance and foster a highperforming team environment.

Major Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership:Oversee daily operations within assigned function ensuring team performance aligns with organizational and regulatory expectations.
  • Process Improvement & Standardization:Identify implement and monitor process improvements to enhance efficiency productivity and accuracy across the MidRevenue Cycle.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Confidentiality:Ensure compliance with all applicable laws regulations and accreditation standards. Maintain confidentiality of patient records and escalate concerns as necessary.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Technology Utilization:Leverage healthcare technology and analytics tools to optimize workflows improve data accuracy and enhance decisionmaking processes.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:Serve as a liaison between MidRevenue Cycle functions and other departments facilitating communication problemsolving and crossfunctional collaboration.
  • Team Leadership & Development:Supervise and develop team members by providing coaching performance feedback and professional development opportunities. Conduct hiring training and performance evaluations to ensure a skilled and engaged workforce.
  • Issue Resolution & Quality Assurance:Monitor quality standards address operational challenges and implement corrective actions to maintain a high level of service delivery.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Based on function areas may include bachelors degree in health information management Healthcare Administration or a related field or equivalent experience

Certification / Registration / License

Relevant industry certification from an approved accrediting body such as AAPC or AHIMA

Work Experience

Minimum of 7 years of experience in MidRevenue Cycle operations Coding HIM or Healthcare Technology including 1 years of progressive leadership experience in a large integrated healthcare system

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • MidRevenue Cycle Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of facility coding professional coding and/or HIM operational guidelines and workflows necessary to scope of work. Understanding of thirdparty reimbursement programs state and federal regulatory requirements national and local coverage decisions and coding classification systems (ICD10 CPT HCPCS).
  • Experience in process improvement performance management and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and within a matrix organizational structure
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to work within deadlines and maintain accuracy
  • Effective communication skills to engage and manage diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to manage teams coach staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems creatively work within deadlines and maintain a highlevel of accuracy and attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Exposed to normal office environment

Job may require travel therefore may be exposed to road and weather hazards

May need to be able to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally

Sits the majority of the workday but also may lift reach and bend throughout the day

Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job
