Do you want to help shape the future of digital integration in Scotlands public sector
The Digital Operations team within iTECS plays a vital role in supporting and maintaining a growing range of digital platforms and services across the Scottish Government. As part of this we are leading the migration of HR and Finance systems to the Oracle Cloud/Fusion platform ensuring they are reliable efficient and futureready.
Reporting to and supporting the Integrations Lead you will be responsible for the management implementation configuration and monitoring of integrations across a range of platforms including Oracle Cloud and other key digital systems. Youll ensure integrations are properly configured tested provisioned documented decommissioned and maintained in line with Scottish Government standards and policies.
Working as part of a new integrations team you will support both existing and new system integrations while contributing to the strategy for future support operating modelshelping to establish bestinclass integration management capability. With your digital integration skills you will develop deep expertise in Oracle Cloud and gain a full understanding of the endtoend architecture integrations and associated challenges. Youll collaborate closely with the DG Corporate Hub iTECS service teams system owners and thirdparty suppliers while also expanding your skills across other IT platforms.
Responsibilities
- Support and development of Scottish Government iTECS managed digital applications integrations architecture including Oracle Cloud (OIC).
- Support the strategic management delivery and maintenance of integrations managed by the SG as defined in the integrations catalogue coordinating and advising on best practice as necessary.
- Review existing build pipelines and make recommendations to improve code reuse increase performance tighten security and optimise deployment performance.
- Support and agree strategies and technology that ensures the seamless integration of data.
- Support the provision of technical support and resolution for all digital integration incidents problems and changes.
- Work closely with the Technical Delivery Manager and other specialists such as developers engineers and programmers to ensure successful integration outcomes.
- Represent iTECS on various fora and boards as necessary.

Experience:
Lead Criteria 1: Prior experience and technical knowledge of IT application integrations development and management across different technology stacks at an enterprise scale.
Lead Criteria 2: Technical knowledge of Oracle HCM & ERP integration components Oracle middleware and end to end architecture
3. Knowledge of Oracle middleware components such as SOA Cloud Service Java Cloud Service (JCS) Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Managed File Transfer (MFT). Reference: DDaT1322
4. Understanding of integration transformation and impacting technical change and estimation.

Candidates who pass the initial sift will have their applications fully assessed against the all other Experience criteria and Behaviours.
Stage two (interview and DDaT technical assessment): If successful at application sift you will be invited to an assessment and interview where we will test all criteria listed in the Success Profile above.
The sift is scheduled for w/c Monday 7th April.
Interviews and DDaT Technical assessments are scheduled for w/c Monday 21st April however these may be subject to change.

DDaT Pay Supplement
This post is part of the Scottish Government Digital Data and Technology (DDAT) profession as a member of the profession you will join the professional development system. This post currently attracts a 5000.00 annual DDAT pay supplement applicable after a 3month competency qualifying period. The payment will be backdated to your start date in the role. Pay supplements are reviewed regularly and there is one currently underway. Changes will be communicated when the review is concluded.
Working Pattern
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week we offer a truly flexible working including fulltime flexitime and compressed hours meaning you could work your full hours while working less than 5 days per week.
We embrace a hybrid working style meeting in person when it is useful to do so where all colleagues will spend time in Saughton House Edinburgh.

Information & Technology Services (iTECS) Division
Information & Technology Services (iTECS) is a Division within Scottish Government and part of Digital Directorate. It is headed by the Chief Information Officer and has responsibility for:
- Delivering corporate ICT and information services for Scottish Government;
- Delivering shared ICT services (SCOTS Connect) to paying customers across the central government community in Scotland shared services customers now make up around 50 of the 22000 user base;
- Protecting Scottish Governments information and ICT assets;
- Contributing to the delivery of Digital Public Services by ensuring that our people and businesses are making the most of the digital opportunity; and that ICT public services are customercentric collaborative integrated efficient and continuously improving by making best use of digital technology.
iTECS provides IT support services for over 100 applications used by the Scottish Government and its Agencies on the SCOTS network. The range of applications supported include critical corporate applications such as Oracle EBusiness Suite (SEAS and E HR) Electronic Records and Document Management (ERDM) Time & Attendance system and Ministerial Correspondence Systems.
