About North East Link

The Spark Consortium has been selected for the Central Package of the North East Link Project Victorias biggest road project.
The Spark Consortiums Design and Construction Contractor which comprises Webuild CPB Contractors GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania will deliver the twin threelane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.

The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides threelane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbournes freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135000 vehicles will use North East Link every day reducing congestion in the northeast while maintaining local roads.

About the Opportunity

To support the delivery of the North East Link Central Package we are seeking applications from Engineering Surveyors across all skill levels to join the Survey Team with opportunities across the project including roads structures tunnelling control & audit reality capture infrastructure monitoring and survey data management.

The Spark survey team offers the opportunity to pursue your interests and develop your skills whist working with the latest technology equipment and software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with construction and engineering teams
  • Provide clear concise and accurate survey setout
  • Perform quality checks during construction
  • Record accurate asbuilts of work as executed
  • Produce survey reports and plans
  • Maintain survey data
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and performing to a high standard.

Requirements

  • A diploma or degree in surveying/engineering
  • 3 years experience in surveying
  • Previous construction experience an advantage but not essential
  • Proficient with modern survey hardware and software systems
  • Attention to detail and a desire to do it right
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
