Job Description

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Program Finance Manager to join a team of qualified diverse individuals within our Citizen Security & Public Services Sector. This position is onsite in Clinton TN with flexibility for occasional telework.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage the monthend close process and prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Analyze variances and identify costsaving opportunities.
  • Analyze plant labor variable costs operational spending and inventory transactions to identify key improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and analyze quarterly standard costs.
  • Manage the physical inventory and cycle count programs.
  • Oversee all financial activities within the plant including general and cost accounting accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Provide financial planning & analysis customer reporting and program cost control in federal government contract environment.
  • Perform complex financial analysis forecasting invoicing and project setup needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program or programs.
  • Partnering to coordinate monthly forecast updates close actuals eliminate variances and understanding discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain reporting and analysis systems to guide the financial management of individual programs and contracts to achieve company objectives.
  • Assess program performance and track the performance against program budgets for firm and on contract growth.
  • Act as a key technical expert on financial analysis issues.
  • Coordinate negotiate and resolve financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirements.
  • Establish and define program plan requirements for assigned work.
  • Coordinate with team monthend variance analysis unbilled accounts receivable risk and opportunities and other reporting activities for leadership.
  • Review contract modifications for accuracy and approvals.
  • Create price proposals for delivery orders.
  • Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost objectives are met.
  • Partner with OU line leadership and drive improvement on all key financial metrics.
  • Manage and mentor team of up to 5 Program Finance Analysts.
  • Any ad hoc requests from Program Team or Finance Leadership.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree preferably in Accounting Finance Business or related field and a minimum of 10 years experience. Additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Prior experience in Program Finance and financial planning and analysis supporting programs of substantial complexity.
  • Prior experience managing a team of Program Financial Analysts.
  • Prior experience with Deltek/Costpoint/Cognos.
  • Prior experience working FFP T&M and CPFF programs.
  • Ability to provide clear guidance to program teams on financial implications of decisions.
  • Prior experience pricing and analyzing proposals.
  • Strong excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • US Citizenship.
