The duties of this position are in support of the mission and goals of Cascade Life Alliance (CLA). The Administrator on Call (AOC)/Clinical Resource Coordinator (CRC) utilizes healthcare knowledge expertise independent industry specific judgement and medical protocols to coordinate all aspects of organ donation for
transplant and research in the Donor Service Area (DSA) hospitals in Oregon southern Washington and southwest Idaho as well as serves in a leadership role to their peers.
The AOC/CRC directs clinical staff and provides comprehensive oversight in organ donation operations across the DSA. Additionally the AOC/CRC may serve in the role of Organ Donation Coordinator (ODC) for up tohalf of their call shifts. In this role they function to assesses and evaluate potential organ donors communicatewith donor families direct clinical management of the organ donor evaluate and place organs for transplant coordinate the organ recovery process with transplant and medical teams and assist those teams with the
surgical recovery and transportation of organs for transplant and research.
The AOC/CRC is also involved with process development roles in alignment with organizational needs andgoals including clinical orientation data review donor management development and special projects.
Performs duties as (AOC)/(CRC) serving in an oncall capacity providingconsistent comprehensive oversight of all organ donation operationsincluding but not limited to donor referral triage authorizationmanagement organ allocation and recovery. Responsible for providing plan of care guidance and ensures case activity proceeds in an effective and efficient manner.
Performs duties as ODC: uses independent judgment and establishedparameters to screen for potential organ tissue and eye donation in all DSAhospitals; obtain consent for donation; communicates with donor familieshospital staff and transplant teams; conducts donor management in ICU;places organs for transplant and assist with organ recovery; completesrequired donor follow up
Participates and leads process development projects that are in alignmentwith the organizations mission.

The AOC/CRC will manage and assist in organ recovery allocation preservation and followup ofdonated organs. The AOC/CRC is on clinical call for 24 hour periods must travel by charter andcommercial aircraft conduct donor management in ICUs screen for potential organ tissue and eyedonations obtain consent for donation communicates with donor families and assist with organ recovery.
Marketing and education responsibilities include: hospital assessments develop organ donation protocolsand provide education to hospital staff for the purpose of increasing organ donations.
