Job Summary:
As an Apple Sorter for Materne North America you will be responsible for inspecting sorting and removing bad apples and other foreign material from production line in an efficient manner according to operational and quality standards.
This position is for C shift. Thursday Saturday and E/O Wednesday from 7:00am7:00pm.
Position Responsibilities:
- Inspect sort and remove bad apples and foreign material from the production line.
- Assist with providing guidance and coaching to temporary associates or others assigned to apple sorting to ensure that work is being performed to standard including proper defect identification.
- Assist with housekeeping general sanitation and cleanup activities.
- Assist with raw material waste removal
- Assist with cinnamon weighing and other tasks as needed
- Must work a minimum of 12 hours
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift 12 hours)
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
Education:
- High school diploma GED or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Prior experience working in the food industry is preferred
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate (verbal read write) effectively in English
- provide accurate and timely information to Machine Operators
