Job Description
JOB TITLE: West Franklin USD287 seeks ahigh school english teacher. This job is classified as an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
PAYMENT RATE: Salary is based on a negotiated salary scale. Base salary for the current school year is $ 287 honors prior teaching service. Negotiated Agreement and salary schedule may be reviewed at287
RESPONSIBLE TO: Building Principal/Superintendent of Schools
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must have or be eligible for a Kansas Teaching License with an endorsement in English 712 or equivalent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Salary and work year will be in accordance with the negotiated agreement.

The West Franklin School District is located in western Franklin County 35 miles southeast of Topeka 30 miles southwest of Lawrence and 10 miles west of Ottawa. The West Franklin School District is a short commute fromOsageCity Lyndon Baldwin CityOttawa Lawrence and Topeka.
The patrons of the district recently passed a $13 million bond issue. The improvements at the WFMS/HS campus include a new storm shelter that will also serve as our weight room and music room a 1300 seat gymnasium a new shop area to house our agriculture and woods programs new HS offices and an 8lane track with field event areas. The improvements also connect all buildings on our campus to enhance student safety.
