Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Service Engineer/Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be
responsible for fitting windows and doors as well as carrying out remedial repairs as needed. This role requires
travel across the Southeast of England and occasional overnight stays depending on the job location. The Service
Engineer/Installer will be provided with a company van and will have the flexibility to travel from home to job
sites. They will be required to report to the office every day to collect paperwork and ensure job orders are upto
date.
Key Responsibilities:
Window/Door Installation:
o Install highquality windows and doors on residential and commercial projects.
o Ensure that all installations meet the companys quality standards and client expectations.
o Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations during installations.
Remedial Repairs:
o Carry out remedial repairs on existing window and door installations as required.
o Troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions to customer concerns.
o Ensure repairs are completed quickly and efficiently minimizing inconvenience to clients.
Travel and Site Work:
o Travel across the Southeast of England to various job sites sometimes requiring overnight stays
(accommodation provided if necessary).
o Manage time effectively to complete jobs within specified timeframes.
Communication and Reporting:
o Report to the office each day to collect necessary paperwork and job orders before heading out
to the job site.
o Provide regular updates to the office on job progress delays or any issues that may arise.
o Ensure that all paperwork including job sheets and delivery notes is accurately completed and
returned to the office.
Customer Interaction:
o Provide excellent customer service by addressing client queries and ensuring high satisfaction
with installations and repairs.
o Ensure all installations and repairs are carried out with minimal disruption to the customer.
Key Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a window and door installer or service engineer.
Strong practical skills and knowledge of installing and repairing windows and doors.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems effectively.
Good understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the installation and repair industry.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
Full UK driving license (essential).
Must be local to the Southeast of England with the flexibility to travel and overnight stay when
necessary.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in window and door installation and/or remedial repairs.
Any relevant qualifications or certifications in glazing construction or a related field are an advantage.
Full UK driving license.
