The Senior Financial Analyst plays an important part at the Commission. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Working 100 inoffice.
- Preparing compiling and verifying statistical financial accounting data reports and tables related to accounts payable and accounts receivable and submitting for approval.
- Receiving and recording checks invoices vouchers and supporting documentation.
- Coding documents according to Commission on Minority Health procedures.
- Verifying accuracy of data and revising any errors.
- Keeping financial records using journals ledgers and computers.
- Conducting basic reconciliation and notes and reports discrepancies found in grant reports.
- Administering the fiscal aspect of grants within the Minority Health Grants Management System.
- Conducting site visits.
- Assisting in State Budget submissions annual required fiscal reports audit preparation updating and recommending changes in fiscal policy.
- Establishing fiscal monitoring of approved grants to ensure quality assurance through all processes by reviewing available funds in compliance with state and federal procedures.
- Performing various accounting related duties.
- Accessing computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts.
