Job Description
Position Title: Structural Designer
Location: New Berlin WI
Reports To: Manger of CTO Crane and Runway Engineering Region AME
Position Overview: The Crane Draftsman will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for crane runway systems according to specifications provided by engineers and project managers. This role requires a keen eye for detail proficiency in drafting software and a solid understanding of crane design principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed technical drawings and plans for crane and runways systems using CAD software.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and translate them into precise drawings.
- Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all drawings including those for crane runways comply with industry standards safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain and organize drawing files and documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
- Assist in designing new crane runway models or modifying existing designs for improved performance and safety.
- Participate in project meetings to provide input and updates on drawing status.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to crane design and runways.
- Experience using 3D modeling software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Problemsolving skills and the ability to think critically.
Work Environment:
- Officebased
- Interaction with engineers project managers and manufacturing teams.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Drafting Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD SolidWorks or similar.
- Strong understanding of crane design principles runway systems and mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and convert them into precise drawings.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with crane design or structural design is a plus.
