Created in 2015 to align lighten and modernize infrastructure the Technology & Infrastructure (T&I) team is the backbone and the futureforward arm of CBC/RadioCanada. This is a hybrid role with a mix of inoffice and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Your Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Corporate Compliance and Continuous Improvement you are responsible for monitoring compliance activities including all Technology and Infrastructure Committee audit documentation produced by the Office of the Executive VicePresident of CBC/RadioCanadas Technology and Infrastructure (T&I) component. You serve as the primary point of contact for the Corporate Secretariat the Office of the Auditor General and the Internal Controls team for all T&Irelated audits. You oversee timely delivery of the Executive VicePresidents action plans and report on their progress. During audits you coordinate and actively participate in meetings producing audit items reviewing recommendations and developing action plans with stakeholders. You apply your expertise to advise stakeholders on the best audit management techniques for optimizing operational efficiency.

A significant portion of your role involves coordinating the Technology and Infrastructure Committees documentation process ensuring its smooth and efficient flow. Your contributions are crucial in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of submitted documents.

You also lead the annual corporate risk update process providing clear guidance to stakeholders. Throughout the year you prepare reports to support monitoring in various committees including the T&I Compliance Committee.

More broadly you work in tandem with the Senior Manager Corporate Compliance and Continuous Improvement to prepare for Compliance Committee meetings and provide regular updates on current and upcoming audits and action plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the entire process involved in producing documentation for presentation to the Technology and Infrastructure Committee as well as T&I contributions to other Board committees.
  • Develop audit and compliance practices at T&I including helping define control monitoring required for ITGC and PCI DSS.
  • Receive respond to and coordinate requests from Internal Audit (IA) the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) and the Internal Controls team regarding T&I.
  • Coordinate responses to accesstoinformation requests and parliamentary questions regarding the T&I component.
  • Provide T&I departments with guidance in developing the necessary action plans to address gaps and recommendations.
  • Periodically report on the progress of action plans.
  • Present audit plans upcoming audits and the annual corporate risk update process to stakeholders.
  • Help implement a normative framework for compliance (policies standards and procedures).
  • Report on various compliance activities at Compliance Committee meetings.
  • Actively contribute to analyzing the organizations compliance control maturity.
  • Develop and enhance accountability practices within the T&I component by establishing appropriate tools and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education in management compliance risk management project management or communications or equivalent experience.
  • Two years experience in a similar role.
  • Five years experience in a general management or coordination role.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Technology & Infrastructure component an asset.
  • Strong ability to draft and revise position papers policies standards and procedures.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong versatility.
  • Growth mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to be well organized thorough and selfreliant and handle competing priorities.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize information to address ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with the Google Workspace suite (knowledge of Jira and PowerBI an asset).
  • Bilingualism (English and French) mandatory.
  • Position based in Montreal or Toronto.
