Job Description

The Wash Rack Technician is responsible for washing and cleaning of equipment inventory.

Entry level position The Wash Rack Technician 1 relies on instructions and preestablished guidelines to perform functions of the job and has basic knowledge of standard and technical concepts practices and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Models promotes reinforces and rewards the consistent use of HOLTs Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools models and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision Values and Mission
  • Washes and cleans machines and equipment in preparation for inspection and possible repair
  • Inspects and performs checkout and checkin procedures
  • Documents the condition of equipment before and after utilization
  • Occasionally assist with routine inspections minor repairs and general maintenance
  • Maintains equipment inventory systems per standard operating procedures
  • Assists with equipment demonstrations and loading and unloading of equipment
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies procedures and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • General knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance
  • Firstclass attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational time management and multitasking skills
  • Quality control analysis skills Conducting tests and inspections of products services or processes to evaluate quality or performance
  • Operation and control skills Controlling operations of equipment or systems
  • Equipment selection skills Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
  • The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
  • Ability to operate hand tools power tools and equipment used in mechanical repair
  • The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp manipulate or assemble very small objects
  • The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
  • The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One or more years of workrelated skill knowledge or experience is preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Travel:

  • No travel is expected for this position

Physical Requirements:

  • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position and frequently moves about inside and outside of maintenance bays
  • Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
  • Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity coordination and stamina
  • Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladders
  • Be able to safely maneuver and work underneath equipment
  • Routinely reacts to visual auditory and other signals including alarms and instructions and is required to visually inspect work

Work Environment:

  • Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather heat cold and humidity
  • Noise level may be loud at times
  • Exposure to small quantities of chemicals steam highpressure water and high speed rotating equipment
  • Significant time spent in confined spaces and high places
