Job Description
The Perry Local School District has a sixth grade ELA position open effective the beginning of thecontract year. Perry Elementary School consists of grades K6 and is housed in a stateofthe art facility with a capacity for 500 students. The Perry Elementary is seeking a dynamic and energetic ELA teacher who maintains a positive learning environment holds high academic expectations and creates a studentcentered classroom. Required Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelors degree in education from an accredited college or university required. Highly Qualified applicants will be prioritized for this position. Qualified candidates should skillfully demonstrate the following: ability to prioritize studentlearning needs over obstacles that can stand in the way of necessary change; strong desire and ability to build meaningful caring relationships with students in order to exert academic press and influence; skill and willingness to leverage the student support network to ensure that students social emotional nutritional and health needs are addressed; ability to collaboratively create and execute clear logical instructional plans that produce strong results in student learning; capacity to rigorously create and sustain a wellorchestrated system of ongoing data collection and analysis to inform a continuously responsive and adaptive system of tiered instruction attentive to students specific academic needs.
