We require an ambitious Engineering Geologist/Geologist/ to join our Ground Engineering Team in our Greater Manchester office. You will be involved in an interesting variety of projects across a range of sectors and clients such as property development infrastructure mining local authorities waste management to name a few.
The Opportunity:
- Completion of Phase I ground engineering contaminated land mining / geology and desk studies;
- Act as a Site Engineer or supporting role supervising multiple ground investigation / ground remediation / CQA activities on either short or long duration projects with potential working away from home;
- Supervision of site works including logging of soils and rock (in accordance with current UK standards);
- Site monitoring activities to include groundwater sampling and gas monitoring;
- Specify and supervise insitu testing and sampling in accordance with UK specifications and current technical standards;
- Liaise with clients engineers contractors and subcontractors throughout the site work phase;
- Assist in the preparation of Health and Safety and contract documentation and administration of contracts (including financial control); and
- Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental data assessment analysis and reporting.
About you:
- BSc in Engineering Geology Geology or similar MSc or industry experience is advantageous;
- A full and clean UK driving license and own vehicle.
- Confidence and knowledge of UK ground investigation techniques; and written report writing skills and computer software skills.
