The Douglas Elementary School is looking for a 1.0 FTE LongTerm Substitute Teacher (Grades 25 for the remainder of theSchool Year. We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable LongTerm Substitute Teacher to support students in Grades 25 across two specialized programsone focusing on life skills development and the other within a therapeutic learning environment. This role involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide individualized instruction and behavioral support tailored to students unique needs. Specialized Programs Life Skills & Therapeutic ClassroomsKey Responsibilities:Deliver individualized instruction based on IEPs and personalized learning a safe supportive and therapeutic classroom environment that encourages emotional regulation social growth and behavior management strategies and provide crisis intervention as with educators therapists families and support staff to ensure cohesive and consistent student assessments to track student progress and adjust instructional strategies effectively with parents and guardians regarding student growth and classroom diverse instructional techniques to meet the varied needs of and coach staff on therapeutic strategies and behavior intervention in the ongoing development of program procedures and best practices.
