Crowe MacKay LLP is excited to grow our team and is currently searching for a Senior Accountant Tax opportunity in Kelowna. Our firm is redefining what is means to work in the accounting industry. The successful candidate will be a designated accountant public practice careerfocused individual who is excited to join a growthoriented entrepreneurial firm wanting to develop their skills in income taxation. This will be a progressive position with opportunities for professional development and advancement.


The Role

  • Preparation of tax files.
  • Preparation and review of personal corporate and trust income tax returns.
  • Undertaking tax research with guidance from senior specialists.
  • Undertaking tax projects under supervision of senior specialists.
  • Liaise with tax authorities on tax audits and appeals.
  • Develop strategies for clients to capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Identify and document tax filing positions including risk analysis.
  • Research and analysis of a variety of tax issues.
  • Prepare internal and external client correspondence.

What You Will Bring

  • CPA designation.
  • 24 years experience in public accounting Tax experience an asset.
  • Enrolled or willing to enroll in the CPA Canada InDepth Tax Course.
  • Familiarity with CaseWare Microsoft Office and Tax Prep.
  • Ability to interact with clients coworkers Managers and Partners.
  • Able to prioritize workloads meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Values teamwork client/customer service professionalism quality in detailed work community involvement personal and professional growth.
