We are seeking a highly experienced and detailoriented Senior Audit Manager with a Chartered Accountant qualification and deep knowledge of US accounting standards and financial audits. This is a unique role that goes beyond traditional auditsyou will act as a domain expert collaborating with digital product teams to translate audit knowledge into scalable product solutions.
You will be responsible for orienting digital product owners in the Audit & Tax domain providing strategic input to shape tools that support risk assessment internal control evaluation and the audit planning process. Objectives of this Role
- Act as a domain expert and knowledge partner for digital product teams bridging the gap between audit practice and product strategy.
- Support the design and development of digital tools to optimize audit planning and reporting.
- Guide and orient product managers and engineers on audit workflows risk assessment methodologies and industry standards.
- Evaluate and articulate key audit processes across client environments internal controls and reporting frameworks.
- Identify and assess the risk of material misstatement (RMM) to support product use cases and audit strategies.
- Stay current with evolving audit standards (GAAP GAAS PCAOB) and translate changes into product and process requirements.
- Review audit documentation and procedures ensuring that both manual and digital processes align with compliance mandates.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 812 years of experience in external audits with exposure to US GAAP and international accounting practices.
- Strong understanding of riskbased auditing internal control evaluation and material misstatement assessment.
- Prior experience working with or advising product teams ideally in a digital transformation or fintech setting.
- Passion for process improvement and the use of technology to drive audit efficiency and consistency.
- Effective communicator who can simplify complex audit concepts for crossfunctional products and tech teams.
- Experience in clientfacing roles with strong documentation and presentation skills. Identifiesand manages new and existing product partnerships.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications and content and participating in professional societies.
Preferred Qualification Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a Big 4 or large public accounting firm or consulting/advisory capacity for audit innovation.
- Familiarity with audit platforms data analytics or process automation tools.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum product development processes.
- CPA (US) or other relevant certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
