Were seeking a Senior Platform Engineer who is passionate about elevating engineering practices and enabling teams to build software faster more reliably and with higher confidence. This role is focused on improving the Developer Experience (DevX) across a broad ecosystem of applications including Windows macOS Linux iOS Android and Web.
Youll work closely with multiple engineering teams establishing technical standards delivering scalable tooling and building systems that support modern development workflows. Your deep knowledge of build infrastructure compilers dependency management and code quality will help reduce friction and improve the overall velocity and quality of software delivery.
This is a strategic highimpact role that sits at the heart of engineering productivity within Photoshop perfect for someone who enjoys solving foundational problems at scale and collaborating across the organization.

What Youll Do:
Lead platform engineering efforts to support a diverse suite of products across desktop mobile and web.
Architect and maintain build systems and toolchains including compilers linkers and related infrastructure optimized for speed and scalability.
Drive build optimization and local development workflow improvements reducing latency in the software development lifecycle.
Establish and enforce best practices for dependency management code hygiene and software supply chain protection.
Build scalable internal tooling and automation that simplifies and standardizes development across multiple teams and platforms.
Partner with engineering teams to identify friction in the development process and deliver solutions that increase efficiency and consistency.
Promote a datadriven culture by integrating observability and telemetry into build systems and tooling.
Implement developer selfservice capabilities to streamline onboarding testing environment setup and release workflows.
Stay on top of industry trends in DevX platform engineering and developer tooling introducing bestinclass solutions when appropriate.
What Youll Need to Succeed:
7 years of experience in software engineering internal tooling platform engineering or developer productivity roles.
Proven expertise across multiplatform application development including Windows macOS Linux iOS Android and web environments.
Strong knowledge of compilers linkers and modern build systems like CMake Bazel or Buck.
Handson experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD with a focus on performance maintainability and reliability.
Familiarity with static analysis test frameworks and code quality automation.
Experience with dependency management and securing the software supply chain (e.g. SBOMs artifact validation).
Proficient in systems programming and scripting languages including C and Python.
Effective communicator who can collaborate across engineering infrastructure and product teams.
Strong systems thinking problemsolving ability and a mindset centered on developer empathy and enablement.
Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation (e.g. Terraform Docker Kubernetes).
Familiarity with cloudnative development environments and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Interest or experience in using GenAI to automate development or DevXrelated tasks.
Prior involvement with developer platform or engineering productivity teams.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.At Adobe for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC base commission) and shortterm incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Nonsales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and shortterm incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition certain roles may be eligible for longterm incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
