Job Description
Coordinates the delivery of nursing care for critically ill postoperative ventilator post cardiac arrest post heart cath hemodynamic stabilization and other critically ill patients in the units.

Medical ICU Patient Population: Sepsis Pneumonia/ Respiratory Failure CRRT: Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy Multiorgan System Failure DKA Postcardiac Arrest Target Temperature Management (TTM) Massive Transfusion GI bleed Overflow Stroke Maternal Health/Obstetrics Complications.
Patient Ratios: 1:2
Department Specifics: 40 beds closed unit with 24/7 coverage by Intensive Care Physicians Daily Multidisciplinary Rounds including Pharmacists APP Physicians Social Work Nutritionist Respiratory Therapists.
Shared Governance Committees Staffing/Scheduling Committee Quality Champions CLABSI CAUTI SKIN Sunshine Committee: recognition and retention National Conferences: Magnet NTI.
BLS/ACLS required 16 weeks Residency Program 1 year Transition to Practice Program.
