Job Description

Title: Ultrasound Technician
Facility: Dallas Regional Medical Center
Location: 27700 Medical Center Rd Mission Viejo CA 92691
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 06:45 19:15
Rate: $55/hr (W2 $60/hr 1099
Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ensuring accurate processing and transmission of imaging data to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform highquality ultrasound examinations according to established protocols and physician orders
  • Capture and transmit diagnostic images to the PACS in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure proper patient identification positioning and preparation for each examination
  • Communicate effectively with patients family members and healthcare staff to provide compassionate and safe care
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any malfunctions or concerns
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Adhere to departmental and hospital safety policies infection control procedures and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
  • Certification:
    • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through ARDMS or
    • Sonography certification through ARRT (S)
  • Education:
    • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as listed above
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a Labor & Delivery setting is required
  • Licensure:
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire and must be maintained
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in the use of computer systems and imaging software
