Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Controller to join our team. As the Corporate Controller you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our companys financial management and reporting. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records as well as providing strategic guidance to senior management. If you have a strong background in accounting financial analysis and leadership we encourage you to apply. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and supervises the Staff Accountant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of accounting: billing financial statements general ledger accounts payable accounts receivable budgeting tax compliance inventory accounting revenue recognition (ASC606 and various special analyses.
- This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- Monitor and review financial transactions and activities to ensure compliance with GAAP and established policies and procedures. Also compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements at the local state and federal levels. This includes finances tax filings and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiencies
- Manage daytoday accounting operations
- Assist in the processing and oversight of accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Perform Bank and General Ledger account reconciliations
- Responsible for payroll with oversight from human resources
- Assist in the reporting of financial results and variances
- Perform special projects adhoc reporting and analysis and other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
- Active CPA license required
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. NetSuite SAP QuickBooks)
- Strong GAAP accounting knowledge and best practices
- 5 years minimum experience managing an accounting team
- Manufacturing industry experience is preferred
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel (vlookup pivot tables etc.
- Knowledge of full accounting cycle
- Selfstarter who is proactive takes initiative and follows through on tasks in a timely manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills and great team player attitude
- Exceptional problemsolving abilities with a proactive approach
- Solid understanding of financial acumen and business operations
