Job Summary

Join GKN Aerospace as a Manufacturing Engineer playing a key role in the development and industrialisation of cuttingedge Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) technology.
Provide Manufacturing Engineering capability to operational and development programmes to enable and deliver zero defect projects. Adept at using engineering and problem solving skills they will be accountable for delivering robust capable manufacturing process technology as it applies to materials tooling part fabrication and assembly.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Health Safety & Environmental policies championing a safetyfirst mindset.
  • Deliver technical support of manufacturing process development and integration for production tooling (manufacture and assembly)
  • Maintain positive team relationships with internal and external customers as well as coworkers
  • Continuously improve production processes by implementing Lean initiatives.
  • Responsible for implementation and adherence to product configuration management processes
  • Implement Lean initiatives to continuously improve manufacturing processes.
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships ensuring seamless project .

Essential

  • Degree in Aerospace Mechanical Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering within a regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems (ISO9000 AS9100 or D19000.
  • Experience in process planning tooling design materials selection or quality engineering.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Desirable

  • Experience in Project/Program Management.
  • Familiarity with AS9145 APQP processes or equivalent.
