Job Description
at our Markham MHSW Depot.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to the residents of York Region that visit the depot
- Have good communication skills to deal with York Regional employees and the public
- Have read and understand all training documents onsite
- Receive MHSW from residents
- Identify sort and pack MHSW into the appropriate containers
- Maintain clean grounds and facility
- Follow Supervisors instructions
- Wear all of the required PPE at all times
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Maintain and report any equipment that needs repair
- Comply with all rules and regulations to do with operating the depot
Knowledge Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to perform moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks
- Physically fit with the ability to lift 50lbs and stand on cement for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills
- Planning and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
