As Bid & Tendering Expert / Senior Commercial Manager you are a key player in translating client requirements and site assessments into detailed accurate project costings. You are essential in ensuring that tenders for Steam Turbine & Compressor equipment services are competitive technically precise and commercially sound. You will be responsible for developing proposals for complex projects ensuring alignment between technical feasibility cost efficiency and commercial success.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Ensuring thorough technical scope definition and risk management for complex Steam Turbine & Compressor service projects (e.g. inspections repairs parts supply multitrain solutions rerates upgrades and modifications)
- Prepare endtoend cost estimation and commercial quotations for Steam Turbine & Compressor projects based on technical specifications
- Engage and collaborate successfully with clients and external partners (e.g. vendors / subcontractors) as well internal stakeholders
- Support posttender activities ensuring smooth transition from bid to including scope validation and project briefing
- Contribute to procurement and cost efficiency by working closely with suppliers to secure optimal pricing lead times and quality for related parts and services
- Continuously improve cost estimation methods to improve accuracy and efficiency in pricing strategies
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Engineering Degree (ideally Bachelors / Masters degree in mechanical engineering)
- Technical background in rotating equipment and / or other relevant background
- Experience with steam turbines and compressors (advantageous)
- Thorough analytical skills and commercial mindset
- Proactive solutionoriented personality with strong interpersonal skills
- Fluency in German and/or French (advantageous)
