As a Dietitian youll be a key part of an interdisciplinary team working along side Physicians Nurses and other Allied Health Professionals to meet the diverse needs of the patients and residents serve.
What you will do
Education
Bachelors Degree in Food and Nutrition from a recognized University. Dietetic internship from an accredited program. Current full registration as a Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
Restricted Activities A B & /or C may be required as listed on the posting.
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to communicate with and deal effectively with patients/residents families staff physicians and other health care providers.
Knowledge of legislation and government policies and procedures related to healthcare.
Demonstrated ability to conduct patient/resident assessments.
Knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in patient/resident care.
Demonstrated ability to draw out information that will contribute to understanding the patient/residents situation in order to explore issues beyond the initial concerns.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
