DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated new colleague to join our Food systems research team in DNV Group Research and Development.
The successful candidate has relevant experience from the food industry or food systems research along with a good understanding of sustainability challenges and how novel technologies and digitalisation can be important enablers for addressing these.
We especially welcome applications from candidates with:
- a holistic understanding of food systems including food security food safety food packaging and sustainable food practices.
- experience with dataanalysis and applying mathematical models for risk assessment and supply chain optimization to support decisionmaking in the field of food systems.
- knowledge of food systems governance and assurance regimes EU policies and regulations.
You will be part of the Food Systems research team in Group Research and Development (GRD) a multidisciplinary research team that works across several business areas and research programs in DNV to bring new insight and services to DNVs food related activities and customers.

QualificationsPosition Qualifications:
- Relevant science or technology degree at Master or PhD level in Food Engineering Management Engineering with a strong focus on food systems and supply chain management.
- Strong computational and analytic competencies e.g.
- Experience with operations research (e.g. MILPS) mathematical optimization and familiarity with optimization software (e.g. AMPL)
- Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools (Excel PowerPoint Word)
- Knowledge of data analysis and data visualisation tools
- Analytical mindset and strong ability to extract information from multiple data sources
- Excellent written and spoken English capabilities
- Ability to write scientific papers and official documents with precision and clarity.
