About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Plumbing Designer to join our team. This person will support the design coordination and documentation of plumbing systems across a variety of building projects. The ideal candidate brings both technical depth and a collaborative mindset to support project success from early concept through construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
Translate architectural drawings into design models usable by engineering teams
Prepare and maintain highquality electronic design documents using AutoCAD/Revit
Perform plumbing system layouts equipment sizing and system coordination
Lead initial project setup and ensure ongoing alignment with architectural models
Review shop drawings coordinate with consultants and track project schedules
Attend internal and external meetings to ensure alignment with clients and project teams
Support load calculations and equipment selection
Coordinate with other disciplines including structural mechanical and electrical
Address contractor and vendor questions during bidding and construction phases
Perform QA/QC and maintain drawing packages
Review collision conflicts in Navisworks and coordinate resolutions
Provide onsite construction support and inspections as needed
Assist with mentoring training and development of junior staff
May manage select projects including scope scheduling budgeting and client relations
Qualifications
8 years of relevant plumbing design experience OR a twoyear technical degree with 6 years of experience
Minimum 3 years of experience on largescope projects
Demonstrated ability to perform system design with minimal supervision
Strong understanding of construction documents and discipline coordination
Proficiency in:
AutoCAD
Revit
Navisworks
Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
Plumbing design tools (e.g. HASS TRACE)
Familiarity with applicable codes standards and state/local construction guidelines
Ability to read and interpret architectural structural and civil plans
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detailoriented with excellent judgment and decisionmaking abilities
Capable of mentoring less experienced designers and EITs
Project management experience is a plus
