DevOps Engineer ECS Kubernetes OpenShift and CICD

Overall Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the DevOps team to design implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee the deployment configuration and management of ECS Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters.
• Develop and maintain build and deploy tools to streamline the software release process.
• Ensure the observability of our systems using ELK stack and other monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand their requirements and provide efficient solutions.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Develop and enforce best practices for security performance and scalability of the infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application deployment and infrastructure.

Technical Skills:

Software Requirements:

• Strong expertise in ECS Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI or CircleCI.
• Experience with ELK stack for observability and monitoring.
• Knowledge of build and deploy tools such as Docker Helm and Ansible.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and its deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash Python or Groovy.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or related fields.
• Proven experience in managing and deploying applications on ECS Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like ELK stack.
• Experience working with microservices architecture.

DaytoDay Activities:

• Participate in daily standup meetings and project planning sessions.
• Lead the DevOps team and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Develop test and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and troubleshoot application deployments and infrastructure issues.
• Ensure the observability and reliability of systems using ELK stack.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Stay current with the latest technology trends and advancements in DevOps.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Kubernetes OpenShift or DevOps tools are a plus.
