The Opportunity:
Bishop Spencer Place is Kansas Citys premier nonprofit Life Care retirement community and a proud member of the Saint Lukes Health System. Located between Westport and the Plaza we offer our residents a special place to live and our employees a truly wonderful place to work.
Shift:
This is a fulltime night position working three 12hour shifts. Some weekends and holidays are required.
The Work:
Our Registered Nurses supervise the daytoday nursing activities in our health center during their tour of duty to ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained. Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that new admissions and discharges are processed correctly
- Consulting with residents family members and physicians in planning the residents care treatment and rehabilitation
- Providing direct nursing care as necessary
- Overseeing and delegating the activities of the nursing staff
- Visiting residents to observe and evaluate their physical and emotional status
- Ensuring that the healthcare team follows established regulations standards and practices.
- Participating in QAPI activities including participation in annual survey preparation and survey process and maintenance of CMS standards.
- May be responsible for covering other positions or job duties as needed.
