We are seeking an experienced and toplevel Google Cloud Architect to oversee the data migration from legacy systems to a modernized platform. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Enterprise cloud architecture migration tools and best practices on the Google cloud platform as well as the ability to manage complex projects provide guidance to teams and ensure seamless transitions with minimal disruption to services.
This position can be performed from our offices in New York NY New Brunswick NJ Hartford CT Plymouth Meeting PA Cary NC Lafayette LA or Dallas TX in a hybrid model.

Cloud Migration Data Strategy Provides data guidance and decision making for the design of the migration workload on GCP. Develop comprehensive migration plans including risk assessments resource allocation timelines and backup/recovery strategies. Develop POC on specific tools and technologies as applicable to the client technology stack on GCP
Migration : Oversee and execute migration projects ensuring successful transition with minimal downtime or impact on business operations. Coordinate with stakeholders and crossfunctional teams to ensure the migration is completed on time and within scope. Manage and execute the actual migration process for all components
Tools & Automation: Automate migration tasks wherever possible to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
Troubleshooting & Support: Provide ongoing troubleshooting support during the migration addressing any issues with data and other related services.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Document the entire migration process including configuration changes troubleshooting steps and lessons learned. Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams to ensure smooth postmigration management and support.
Compliance & Security: Ensure that the migration process adheres to security best practices and organizational compliance requirements.
Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
Proven experience with largescale Data migrations (onpremises to cloud cloudtocloud or hybrid) on GCP.
1012 years of experience in the software industry as a technologist in a nonmanagerial capacity
Proven handson experience on data engineering for 5 years on GCP and equivalent technologies Proven experience on NoSQL databases on GCP
Technical Skills:
Proven experience on GCP demonstrating the below requirements with a deeper understanding of the backbone technology and services
Proven experience in Cloud architecture frameworks
Experience in Cloud Application Architecture for 8 years
Experience in application development for 10 years using Java C Python SQL etc. prior to embarking on architecture
Experience in hands on data engineering development on cloud for a minimum of 5 years using Scala PySpark Snowflake databricks Data Flow Python or equivalent technologies
Experience in data architecture & solutions on relational nonrelational structured and semistructured data on the cloud for 6 years with initial experience on earlier data platforms
Experience in data architecture on various platforms over the span of ones career starting with data analysis design and modeling during initial tenure
Proven experience in data management integration visualization and virtualization and varied tools and products in this space
Understanding of Cloud technologies and parallels between the CSPs
Proven experience in IaC and CI/CD on GCP
Proven experience in big data migration to cloud for 5 years as a Cloud Data architect
