Southeastern Louisiana University seeks a dynamic visionary and experienced leader to serve as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Reporting directly to the President the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs serves as a key member of the executive leadership team providing leadership and direction for all academic programs. The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs directs and coordinates activities of all areas within the Division of Academic Affairs including the College of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences; College of Business; College of Education; College of Nursing and Health Sciences; College of Science and Technology; College of Honors and Excellence; Assessment and Accreditation; Enrollment Management; Center for Faculty Excellence; Graduate Studies; Livingston Literacy and Technology Center; Office of Institutional Research; Office of Sponsored Research and Programs; Sims Memorial Library; Study Abroad and Global Engagement; and TRIO. In addition the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs represents the University in a leadership capacity for community organizations and activities; performs the responsibilities of the President if he/she is unable; and may perform any other jobrelated duties as assigned by the President.
The appointment is a 12month position; beginning date is negotiable June 1 2025 preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience. Consideration is assured for application and letters received by April 11 2025. The search will continue until the position is filled.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctoral or appropriate terminal degree with 10 years of academic leadership and senior level administrative experience in roles such as department chair dean or provost.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Record of creative or scholarly achievement successful fouryear college/university teaching experience and qualifications meriting an appointment as full professor.
